Episode 105 - Trusting your energy

In this episode we chat about learning to listen to your body and trusting your energy, rather than listening to some online business gurus who say you have to be consistent no matter what.

I also share my experience of not having the energy to record an episode this week. And how that transpired into this episode coming to be.

Welcome to episode 105 of the With Flow podcast!

In this episode, I talk about the importance of listening to your body and energy levels when it comes to showing up and creating content for your business.

As someone who has struggled with burnout and adrenal fatigue in the past, I have learned that pushing through is not always the answer. There are times when rest and taking a break from work can actually be more productive than pushing ourselves to the brink of exhaustion.

The inspiration for this episode came from being too tired to record a podcast episode to put out this week. I felt guilty about not being consistent and sticking to my schedule, but I knew that pushing myself to record when I wasn't feeling up to it wouldn't result in the best content.

I made the decision to take a break and give myself permission to rest. And then the very next day, the inspiration for this episode dropped in and here we are.

It's important to listen to your body and energy levels and to trust yourself when you feel tired or uninspired. Resting and creating space can be the best thing for your creativity and productivity. However, if you've been in a rut for a long time, taking action and pushing yourself to create can help kickstart your motivation and inspiration.

Learning to tell the difference between needing rest and needing to take action can be difficult, tuning into your body and ignoring the thoughts and stories in your head is the way through it.

We've been taught that pushing through exhaustion is the only way to be successful, but that is utter crap!
